Quote of the Quarter

Pramod Mahajan was on Face the Music, Vir Sanghvi’s new chat show on NDTV that has been “inspired” by Parkinson (Star World) and Jay Leno (NBC).

As usual, the man every BJP-ite (including Atal Behari Vajpayee) thinks could be Prime Minister if the NDA comes to power again, was his charming self.

Asked if he wanted to become PM, Mahajan first ducked.

When Sanghvi persisted, Mahajan said with his trademark grin:

“Who doesn’t want to be PM? Even a Miss World would want to be PM—after she has been Mother Teresa.”

Why do I bring this up?

Sister Umbertina, apparently known to her admirers and associates as the “Mother Teresa of Mysore”, has passed away in Bergamo, Italy.
