Churumuri would like to hear from you. What are we doing right? What are we doing wrong? And what can we do to bring more colour and character to your desktop even more vividly?

1. Posts segregated by Author or separate links to where the Author posts.
2. Underlining appears to mark as links – but Churmuri appears to use them just as Underline. Maybe a clarification is in order, OR a sticking to the convention, and limiting usage of the Underline?
3. Love the tagline: Swalpa Sihi, Swalpa Spicy. Indeed!
Namaskara,
Neevu yenu madidru Murthy Angadi series na dayavittu nillisbedi. It is hilarious.
Vignettes of life in Mysore are also very interesting. B I visited Mysore quite a bit while growing up so it brings back very nice memories.
CAn you please create a category in the name of RKN. That would be very nice. Get some nice posts on the great author coming!
Good – essays on Mysore, political “insider” news, R. K. Narayan.
Can be removed – jokes (terrible, old, and not useful), bitchy articles on Murthy (gossip on Murthy angadi is fine. :-)).
Can be added:
– news on the cricket scene in Karnataka (players to watch out for), anecdotes involving former Karnataka players, hockey players.
– articles on lesser known but important personalities. For example, essays on famous people with origins in halle mysooru V. K. Murthy, or of K. T. Pandurangi/Dr. B. N.K Sharma, Dr. Madhusudan, Dr. Ramesh Gangolli (famous student of Dr. John Nash, plus scholar of Hindustani music), other scholars, artistes etc
– English translations of Kannada poems [something on the lines of Land of Limes vacana series], short stories.
More later..
–
Plan big!? Have a weekend get together for the visitors to the site. Maybe we can ask Murthy angadi to sponsor!
I dont know whether i can say this or not but how it will look if you have cartoons apropriating the articles, after all Mysore has produced world famous cartoonist. Cant it have one for churmuri then it will taste much better.
Bouquets – Almost everything.
Brickbats – Difficult to think of. I think personally directed articles against anybody should be avoided. Gossip is fine as Quizman observed.
Would like to see – Weekly roundup of interesting events in and around Mysore,
Good restaurant ( bayi chapalakke enaadru bekalla) or film recommendations. Horanaadu Kannadigaru would very much appreciate this.
Anath pretty much said what I wanted to…..maybe meet every month ? It should be interesting and quite constructive. What say KP ? At least, we get to meet you ;)
Excellent blog…no doubt about it. The quality of most of the articles is great !!! How about bringing in a little more Kannada ? Instead of just sticking with English and Kanglish.
It will be extremely helpful if you have a weekly column on the latest happenings in Mysore, especially for tons of us who are not in Mysore.
And, puhleeeeeze stop the horrible jokes. Plus, there are a ‘few’ posts which are downright ridiculous. One where Rajkumar and Sachin Tendulkar was compared. I read the same thing in ‘Vijaya Karnataka’ as well. I wonder who came up with the list first. Just because their birthdays are the same, you don’t come up with such a rubbish list. No…How can that post get past your eyes KP ?
Try to connect hornadu kannadigas,as december stud says it will be more appreciated if more kannda is added eshtadaru namma bashe namage hechhu aptha annisuthade. Over all a very good blog mysore jothene iddene annisuthe.
If u can add a column from our beloved HSK it will be more good avara style unique aaguthe. If possible good book reviews or comments on the books which will help us to choose the books (kannada pustaka)
Mysorena hosa hosa jagagala information if added will be good.
NAvu mysorege bandaga visit kodokechennagiruthe (hotels !!)
Some good photographs would add more spice especially of old mysoreans and old hangouts of mysore. Then and now will
be good.
