UDUPI RAJAGOPALACHARYA ANANTHA MURTHY has been all that and more in a long and glittering career in public life.

Now, U.R. Anantha Murthy, 74, is planning to come back to Mysore after having made Bangalore his home for the last 10 years. Last Sunday, he appeared on All India Radio’s Sunday morning show ‘Coffee-Thindi’ and faced questions from the award-winning Kannada writer and AIR programme executive ABDUL RASHEED.

Read the full unabridged text, in which URA talks about the Mysore of his youth, about watching Kuvempu come to Maharaja’s College, and of the joys of drinking by-two coffee with Gopalakrishna Adiga. It’s compelling stuff.
