For an upcoming film called Zamanat, Amitabh Bachchan, who plays the role of a blind lawyer in it, is reported to have bought a pair of Italian sunglasses worth Rs 2.7 lakh. A sign of how particular Big B is about his role or a sign of typically mindless Bollywood ostentation? Of course, it is his money and he is entitled to do what he pleases (he has apparently gifted the glasses to the movie's director S. Ramanathan), but what could have Rs 270,000 have fetched a few needy blind children?
idappa sensationalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Amitabh should not spend 2.7 lakhs and instead help blind
Vajapeyee shouldn’t have gone for knee surgery and spent that money on getting some wheel chairs for the needy people.
Jayalalitha should stop eating food as anyway she is bulky and should spend that money for foodless
Kumaranna should not visit his appa-anna-hendthi and same preserved petrol should be given to BMTC
Churmuri should not be read by spending 20 bucks at a net browsing center but should be provided towards prime minister’s relief fund…
How z that? Is that sensational journalism?
Thats more of a ‘TIMEPASS’ when we run out of IDEAS or NEWS …
allva
Girish avare there is lot of difference between vajpayees knee surgery and amitabh’ s sun glasses. It is not sensible to spend that much just for a movie. When he comes on TV giving so many upadeshas isn’t it. Any way its already spent he can still do good out of it just auction it and donate the amount for the welfare of the blind. Don’t compare things which are not at all related.
filthy rich buffoons. And to think that we stupid Indians follow their lives with all that interest.
Why, even an Amitabh smile on TV costs more than 2.5 Lakhs. Say thanks to yourself, blame your own self for celebrating the ‘celebrities’ too much.
@Girish Hampalli:
dude, grow up! People are watching you.
Conji: Thanks for watching. You should better understand what I intended to say and if you want to continue to comment on person, you better be sure of what you intend to say.
My opinion was about the news makers! their hunger for news will bring such things. If you agree and enjoy everything that media crooks say, better you grow up.
Suma: I agree that there is lot of difference. there was a bit more of sarcastism in my comment as I love to watch churmuri without frills and get bugged when I see such comments
Conji. Whats your problem if Amitabh’s smile costs Rs. 2.5 Lakhs. It is his hard earned brand. You might be stupit but not Indians. Take care as what you say.
Media will have an hidden agenda to promote the different business brands and not amitabh.
Since people are watching me, they might watch you when you comment on me. Try a decent way of getting watched!
Ahhhh….now that I am in Mysore, sans the peace which Mysore was once famous for, I can peacefully start posting again !!!
Gawd, what an awful idea…..It’s Amitabh’s money, let him do whatever he wants with it. Going by this logic, I am not allowed to buy an expensive shirt or go to a movie…see I can use that money to help the poor…yeah right.
gurus, time and again should we remind the junta that Socialism has failed !!! Let’s face it, in order for me to help others, I need to be satisfied, to a certain degree, at least.
I agree. Let AB worry about his money and spend it the way he wants to.
Avanu kashta patto illa kashta padade sampaadisiruva hana! Naavella bittiyaage yaake avanige accounting services kodabeku?
