Sad it should be asked, but that's the reality of India that is Bharat that is Karnataka that is the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor that we cannot shy away from.

first they claimed gowda was against it because he had lands that he stood to lose. now they say its caste equations gone awry. i’ll not be surprised if tomorrow, they dig up some family feud between gowda’s great grandfather and kheny’s and use that to explain the present feud.
the media is doing a beautiful job of playing to the gallery. anything to stir up emotion against DG and the govt. shameful!
Yesterday during inaguration DKSi ( Vokkaliga) was invited and it is congress which has been benefitted from this whole deal .The committe was formed during the tenure of Shri Krishna ( Vokkaliga ) .
It is DG( vokkaliga) fighting against it ..Now doubts are raised because Kheney ( Lingayat) is seeking Yeddi’s (Lingayat )blessing ( Shiva neena Daiva ) .
Maybe DG has fight on his hands between his own Vokkaliga brethern and Lingayat ( Coalition partner ).
The people who are commenting on this Website ,I am certain belong to the Upper Class and certainly many would be averse of the dominant Vokkaliga/Lingayat politics in state .
I can certainly see the reason now ‘Thandikki Thamashe Nodu’ Concept .
It is sad to see every thing in India and Karnataka being seen in terms of caste. This way we are missing the real issue. What is involved is simple economics. Every thing is peripheral. Some political leaders did not get their share of the pie and now they are struggling to get it either by promoting the interest of struggling farmers or some such body. No one is really concerned about which caste may benefit more or less.
All politicians,
Please for the sake of general public , stop playing your dirty politics with BMIC and help the project to complete., It will benefit both you and the people of Karnataka and boost up our state image.
DG says with a ‘I’m holier than thou’ smirk
‘I only have farmers’ interest in mind
To claim that I’ve interest in lands and money
Is sacrilege, Siva,Siva!
But how can I be a silent spectator
when AK acquires all that land
With the court’s backing to boot?
Why can’t he be a saint like me?’
DG says its all a conspiracy
Of the upper classes,you see
They can’t stand to see V’s and L’s
Gain all that hard earned wealth
What I find surprising is that all these so called saviours of the backward classes don’t seem to tolerate dissenting voices, especially from the upper classes. In Karnataka, given the fact that the politics is dominated by Vokkaligas and Lingayats, why shouldn’t the upper castes/classes not oppose policies that they don’t like? Democracy anyone?
You Too Dheerendra??
It is unfair to comment like this. I can understand people like Devegowda, CM Ibrahim, can afford to make such statements, and not you!! I am ashamed to hear it from a sw engineer working for the No.1 brand of the world in an US Metropolis!!

I am was commenting on the caste Politics which has been Polarized by these dominant Caste . I think we should ave fair representation of all the caste and Tribes in this way two dominant castes will not hold the state for ransom and beome Spanner in the Spoke for all development projects of the state . Some of you misunderstood my comments .

remember It is these Kheneys and Murthy or any Businessman who are getting benifitted by these Caste Politics .
Do you know the Liqour Lobby controlled the State using the same Caste Politics .Then there is Granite lobby tooo .
Recently many of the Politicians are part of the real estate Lobby and invested hugely .Just a metter of time when Dubai Mafia’s make an entry in Bangalore . Since it is still 5000 per squatefeet in prime areas .
And the Upper Caste I was referring to …you know Who I am referring to.
The one and only powerful lobby which was influencing decisionmaking during Krishna tenure ….KP when are you relauncing Murthy Angadi
Again I care less for caste and its politics .All that I am bothered is what is good for Kannadigas and how politicians and Business man exploit our people for vested interests. Again as someone said in one of his post .
Is there something we can do about it to break the nexus???
B.T.W does someone has any news on the status of some of our IIT friends who had formed a political party and ran recently concluded TN elections?
There were five candidates put by IIT’s parivartana party. Together they got about 35000 votes. Surprisngly (perhaps not to some) in one constituency there were two IIT candidates. One was a former Congressman who contested as an independent since he could not get the party ticket. It was sad that the new IIT party did not see any reason in supporting that candidate (Narayanan) and he actually got less than 2000 votes despite being well known in the community having served the community well. He even lived in the slums to learn their problems.
It seems there was some dissention among the party supporters and they have been even divided. This clearly shows being an “intellectual” is not enough to be a good or concerned politician.
Despite this small set back, party seems to be still kicking and but has definitely lost the initial momentum
