Churumuri takes great pleasure in introducing its newest contributor, the well-known photojournalist T.S. NAGARAJAN. A former photographic officer in the photo division of the government of India—a job that saw him work closely with H.Y. Sharada Prasad on Yojana mgazine—Nagarajan is best known as (probably) the only chronicler of the interiors of turn-of-the-century houses.
In his first piece for us, Nagarajan describes an assignment to “shoot” the late paramacharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswati.
Is he TS Satyan’s brother??

Yes. Mr Nagarajan is Mr Satyan’s younger brother by nine years. So, between them, we are seeing 155 years of experience. Take that!

Nagarajan Sir,
Nice to know you have joined the Churumuri team. This was a very touching piece about the Periyaval. Looking forward to reading more and more of your experiences.
(Want to remind you that I met you last year in your home and showed you my collection of scrapbooks on MS and RKN. You gifted me a color snap of MS.)
