Sunil Gavaskar hears that a 20th Century Fox film titled Gavaskar is running to packed houses in Australia. Delighted, Sunny charters a plane and rushes Down Under to see this tribute to him. He sits through the film but is aghast to find that there is not a single shot of his, not a single frame, not a single mention of his name, not even in the credits.
Angry and disgusted with the white man, Sunny returns home and calls Rupert Murdoch to complain about this blatant attempt to capitalise on his name.
“Come on, mate, be a sport” says Uncle Murdoch. “I saw a film called Border in it and there was no Allan in it.”
