In IT country, how long for a marks card?

This is the kind of story we see every so often: students furiously writing examinations only to find that the marks cards are taking too long to arrive to be useful. But when it happens in the field in Information Technology, it sounds so much more hilarious and ironical.

On the American citizen journalism site NowPublic, a bunch of Calcutta software professionals are crying hoarse about the 13-month delay for NIIT to issue their marks cards of examinations conducted by, yes, the Karnataka State Open University in Mysore.
