Bangalore, Mar 15 (BRS): Noted philosopher and author U.G. Krishnamurti, popularly known as UG, aged 89, is seriously ill. He is learnt to be battling for life at the home of one of his admirers and journalist Giovanni. He is reported to have got injured following a fall in the bathroom about a week ago.
Uppaluri Gopala Krishnamurti, described as the Howard Hughes of the guru set—enigmatic, brilliant, charismatic, reclusive and publicity shy—and as a cross between Socrates and Diogenes boasts of a K.R. Road, Bangalore, address on his passport.
“My teaching, if that is the word that you want to use, has no copyright. You are free to reproduce, distribute, interpret, misinterpret, distort, garble, do what you like, even claim authorship, without my consent or the permission of anybody.”
