The (last?) email Bob Woolmer sent

CNN-IBN has been airing an email sent by deceased Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer to Gameplan, the sports syndication company handling his commercial interests, after Pakistan’s loss to Ireland. Woolmer had been contracted by Gameplan to write some columns and make five television appearances through the World Cup. This is what he wrote, apparently a few hours before his demise:

“We might have to do this from afar. I don’t know what is going to happen next. We will first play against Zimbabwe and then we will be flying back to Pakistan. This will give me more time to work on my book on coaching. The articles (columns which he had been contracted to write) will have to be more general from now on.”

ps: what a miserable day it has been. Almost as bad as Edgbaston 1991
