Who knows? A day may come when we can watch live vedio on a newspaper (just like we watch vedio on website today). Perhaps the news will get updated every minute and we dont have to buy news paper every day. TV may become more interactive giving people a chance to decide the story of soap operas. Newspaper, TV, mobile, internet, radio and all such ,media may get converged into a big info-super highway? Hmmmm sounds sci-fi??? All the technologies we use today was nothing less than a fantasy dream few decades back.
News paper ? Not in INDIA. South India!!
Newspapers will stay as long as the generation that can’t get thru’ the morning’s crap without it stays. Once internet becomes ubiquitous( WiMax Towers, mobile internet etc.) and bandwidth cheaper, newspapers and TV networks will both have to watch out particularly in the A,B and C class cities in India. While there may be enough readers/viewers for them, they will have to find out ways of staying relevant to their audience and find revenue streams apart from advertising. The beauty of internet is that it provides marketers the tools to measure the impact of advertising accurately, while TV and news papers don’t. Advertising on internate could also generate leads. With newspapers and TV you could never be sure.
Is this video any thing to do with new upcoming movie directed by james camron ( director ofTITANIC) “AVTAR” ?
