Sir Ben Kingsley, the British actor who played Gandhi in Richard Attenborough‘s Oscar-winning epic was on BBC last night, talking to Tom Brook and promoting his new film. He had an interesting explanation to Brook’s observation that although everybody accepted that he was a very fine actor, he was seen as “pompous and pretentious”.
