CPI(M) politburo member, Sitaram Yechury:
“Deve Gowda‘s opportunism is something I can’t really understand because I was personally instrumental in making him the Prime Minister 10 years ago…
“At that time ”all of us came together in the opposition to communal forces”.
“The ‘turn-around’ Gowda did in Karnataka by joining hands with the BJP to form a government is ”very, very surprising and extremely contradictory. It’s very difficult to predict where he will be.”
hagalkayi-ge bevinkayi saakshi.
Agree with TS. If you take a piece of MYSOREPAK and cut it into six pieces all of them will have the same sweetness. Politicians belong to this group.Whether it is Yadav, Yechuri, Pawar, Reddy, Gowda, Patil or Patel, it is the same thing.
NSS,
I know u wanted to say “nari he** naalku paalu maadidante” :)..
KH, I have taken the liberty of modifying that though my father always used that…at least let us be little considerate to them in the sense they are a class for themselves in cheating people at all levels as they say danDinalli sodaramaavane….like {Yama}Dharmaraaya
Enfant terrible of talking doll of China, one of millions of dolls which China had to take back as it was polluting the atmosphere
well said Bapu-ji !!
I bet – Left Front is the Indianised version of Taliban!!!
is it collective amnesia now? People who remember the events in 1996 will vouch for Sitaram Yechury.
Only confirms that China is still India’s biggest Enemy No. 1…. getting the CPIM to make DG PM of India!! Holy Crap!!
If Deve Gowda had had more time in national politics…. you can bet that we would have seen a bright red flag with stars and hammer and sickle flying over Rashtrapathi Bhavan… which would have reverted to its pre-Independence name…
Thankfully, another Sitaram, Kesri, that is, ensured that we would only have 17 months of instability and misrule.
What does Yechuri mean when he says, “We made Gowda prime minister. You know what happened”? What did happen? In three thousand days Gowda’s wealth grew to an extent that even his worst sycophant Datta cannot imagine. I am sure our liberalized banking laws have allowed Gowda and his ilk secret money all over the world in off-shore accounts. Just how much money does one need for a meal of raagi mudde and soppina saaru everyday?
By the way, Yechuri also says that making Gowda a member of the Lefitst allliance depends on what Gowda believes when the time comes. Chamundeshwari, Bhuvaneshwari–save us. Get us out of the claws of opportunist, parsitical politicians.
Of course, if Yechuri were fortunate enough to read this comment, he will surely say he was misquoted by the press.
Speaking of the press, read the latest issue of “Vikrantha Karnataka.” It contains a rhapsodic account of how Rameshwar Thakur attempted to make our water Nazir Saab’s dream of panchaayat raj come true.
Amma, Chamundeshwari, kodangi bhatangigalinda namage yaavaaga bidugade?
Now I remember. Didn’t Gowda once say that Chamundi was going to hand him a sword so he could slay all his real and imagined enemies? Hindu gods and goddesses are not known for handing over their weapons to their bhaktas.
Gowda should have become a Muslim as he said he wanted to be in his next life. (Yediyurappa has implored our people to pray to God and His substitutes that somebody like Gowda may never be born again in Karnataka.) What might the Prophet think of this Saithan?
with respect to N S Sharada Prasad’s comments.I would beg to differ with him that politicians are like six pieces of mysorepaks. How about this.If you divide a heap of shit in to six pieces, they all smell equally bad.Politicians are like that.
