very sad that our children enjoy this diwali day without any concern about these children who are in the same age.
I dont know what that old MK is doing?

Very very sad. But having travelled in TN it is not a surprise. the poverty outside the Chennai region and especially in South TN, is shocking. South TN is really bad in developmet and poverty is visible, to such an extent that poor Tamils can still be seen working as construction labour.
It shows that for all the hype of TN having balanced development, there is still huge rampant child labour. Come to think of it, I’ve seen the figures for child labourers, it said that TN had very high child labour for a supposedly well-dveloped state, higher than Maha/Gujarat. Even today in Bangalore and MUmbai, one can see child labour from TN. Just shows that TN’s development is largely Chennai-Sriperumbudur-Kancheepuram centric. Go across to KL and see how the child labour drops. It is a reflection of dire poverty that Sivakasi employs and still employs child labour.
As for MK, it was a big mistake voting AIADMK. They got things done at least.

MK is busy attending Star Nites, Poem/Book release functions, Felicitation programmes (for him ofcourse), trying to find new information about Lord Rama, thinking how to make Poet Kanimozahi as a Central minister, how to ensure Chennai and Madurai area administration are peacefully settled between his sons and finally how to strangle SUN TV !

Now before everyone rages against the destruction that child labour heaps on the children of India, here is some food for thought.
There are some good and thoughtful points raised by the author of this blog. Recommended reading,.

You publish these reports with real concern,
but sadly these are the news items planted by competitors of indian products, namely chinese! no news about chinese labour ever makes it to the media, due to their excellent media management (read bribe/ threat).
Loser will be indian industry and economy!
(earlier example- chinese sponsored video documentary on Indian beedi industry- led to ban on indian beedis in the US. Who benefited by this? Chinese beedies!!!)
Another issue: if these children dont get work, they will die of Hunger, no intellectual ever worries about these facts, while penning fancy writeups/ editing glorious documentaries to be uploaded to youtube.- they do all these, so that they can attend some swank conference on chaild labour abroad…

Oye,…
have you seen the video
it never shows children with any fireworks/matches…it just shows matchbox making!
anyway, the documentaries are sponsored and later aired by anti national channels like NDTV…(owned by a foreign company anyway!)
i did my part, i havent burnt crackers in 8 long years (it would be even better if realiszation hit earlier) parents shouldnt encourage crackers.. sure its an entertainment of moment or two( remember one man’s music is another man’s noise?)
it really saddens me to the kids plight, but a hope that am contributing in making it better. and the effort to spread the awareness.
I want to inform that the whole documentary runs for 25 + min. Kindly view the full documentary film, which shows children working with Crackers / fire works and also the affected by accidents while working in these factories.
Your comments should not lead to a wrong way and dont try to hide our pathetic situation.
