ARUNA URS forwards a YouTube video of an attempt by leading film makers to change the way we think of other countries. This film, one of four to be shown on Pangea Day, May 10, “the day the world comes together through film”, is directed by Bob Nyanja.
Against the backdrops of Nairobi and the landscape of Uhuru Park (Maasai country), a Kenyan choir sings the Jana gana mana. Against the backdrop of whereever you are sitting, can you return the favour and sing Ee Mungu nguvu yetu Ilete baraka kwetu.
This is a very good initiative. I shall write more detailed comments on it shortly.
That was very nice!
Cetrainly heartening. What was the purpose or the occasion?
Back Again….
Yes on many occasions we forget that the world exists beyond India, Pakistan, China and US!!!
This is a good reminder that the world is much bigger and there is so much more to life. There is so much to know and exchange and about every culture that it cannot be expressed in words.
