Actually i would say that hindus are themselves partly responsible for this. They have tried to tie the religion and nationality angle together and now the religion is “local”.
Shri. Chandrabhan Prasad is sometimes clueless about whatever he’s talking about. His statement suggests he understands neither Marx nor Ambedkar — certainly not enough to develop any vision for his constituency.
When clowns cry..
So what’s his point?
G3S avare..
Thats a tough one because Shri Prasad has none ! therefore he is on fishing expedition
So why doesn’t he become a Buddhist and get the f*** out of here. May be go to China.
Hinduism is the mother of all religions. It may be local but so what, it is global in outlook. It gave the world the philosophy of Vasudeva Kutumbakam (the whole world is one family) more than 3000 years ago.

In Tamilnadu the CM, Mr. MK has changed the Tamil New year from April to January, and also issued an GO prohibiting temples from reading the Panchanga on 13th. The Hindu’s of TN are keeping quiet. The CM, PM and other leaders did not issue any statement wishing/greeting the people on the occasion. Only Miss JJ came out with a greeting.
Will Mr MK do the same thing with the English and Islam calender?

“Hinduism is a local religion. Buddhism is a global religion.” – Chandrabhan Prasad
This speaks volumes about this fellow’s ignorance.
Hinduism is a giant tree and Buddhism is a branch in that tree.

spirituality is not a virus that its geographic span or how fast it is growing or how many celebrities endorse it, etc etc is an indicator of its utility. those are all PR material.
After a long silence the woman nudged her husband and asked, “Isn’t that Howard over there? Who’s he with?”
“That’s his mistress,” her husband replied.
“Oh,” she said, taking a bite of dessert. “Ours is much cuter.”
FOR MANY THEIR RELIGION IS A MISTRESS VERY MUCH OPIATING!
The yoga and vedanta teachings of Hinduism are not ethnocentric. One just has to see the pervalence and popularity of Yoga, Vedanta and Tantra in the west (albeit in a modified form) to understand the penetration of Hinduism and Hindu ideas. In the past Hindu thoughts and scriptures had made inroads to the minds of the American tracendentalists like Henry David Thorea to Walt Whitman or the european philosophers from Schopanhuer to Neitzsche. The modern self help movement derives heavily from the Hindu scrptures, movements and teachings. Right from mary baker eddy, dale carnegie till wayne dyer – the influence is quite tangible. They quote copiously from Bagvad Gita, Upanishads and of course the Buddha.
Chandra Bhan Prasand is as usual the ignorant pamphleteer spouting abuse on Hinduism. Typical psuedo intellectuals their only qualification to be called intellectuals in India is their Hindu bashing.
