“The IT czars are probably away in America. And the IT classes have long seceded from the voting process.”
Ramachandra Guha in conversation with Prannoy Roy on NDTV, on how and whether the IT crowd will vote in the Karnataka assembly elections
Also listen: POLLCAST: Who are the IT guys backing?
I notice that the paragraph on a possible IT Mutt and IT Swami are not spoken out loud in the podcast- somethings can be written ‘OFF’ but not spoken about:)

I watched the Pronnoy Roy show online. I just failed to understand why he said that election time was time for “Battleground”. I just fail to understand why an exhibition of the ballot should be labelled as something more related to the bullet.

IT and BT are businesses. Business looks out for itself, not consumers. It pretends to be apolitical. Consciously or unconsciously many of the wonks come down on the side of the exploiters. Don’t bite the hand, etc.
