Shabana Azmi lip-syncs Sudha Raghunathan in Mahesh Dattani‘s Morning Raga; Chiranjeevi “acts” back S.P. Balasubramaniam in the Telugu film, Indra; Prasanna of the Electric Ganesh Land project twirls the swaras at a live concert; and Mahesh Vinayakram and Minolini Raveendran work the details in the studio for a fusion rendition of Muthuswamy Dikshitar’s Mahaganapathim.

An oppurtunity to offer namaskarams on Ganesha chathurthi to Lord Siddhivinayaka. Let there be no obstacles for good music.
Why talk about Shabana Azmi who feels that as a Muslim she is being treated as a low class citizen of India. They will never learn and change. It is a shame to include her along with the others!
I’m a big fan of prasanna and I think he’s doing a great job promoting Carnatic music and Jazz!! Rajesh Vaidya is good too!! Prasant Radhakrishnan, Rohan Krishnamurthy and flute shashank are some of the new generation musicians doing a tremendous job in promoting classical music..
While at it, why not listen to the greatest vocalist ever (my opinion, anyway)
Morning Raga was a great movie for near perfect politically correct nether holes!
I couldn’t find that other thread, so i will use this music thread.

Brilliant! TS. Thank you.
The YouTube clips are quite good and interesting to have different versions of the same song.
