Depending on who you believe, between 20 per cent and 93 per cent of our population earns less than a dollar a day. And only one per cent of our population may spend more than Rs 20 a day.
Mercifully, our politicians, cutting across party lines, belong to a classification our economists haven’t come up with yet.
# BJP candidate from Maddur constituency, former MLA D.C. Thammanna has declared assets worth Rs 100 crore.
# JDS candidate from Madhugiri constituency, Anita Kumaraswamy has declared total assets of Rs 28.57 crore.
# Congress candidate from Karwar constituency, Satish Shyl has declared the total assets of Rs 22 crore.

What a shame! There are millions of honest aam aadmi who will not accept a paisa from anyone unless it is legitimate payment and here we have this bunch of looters who form the ruling class. What happened in Mumbai on 26/11 is a consequence of electing such types to high office. Is there no law under which these earnings and possessions can be challenged?

You have hit the nail of the head. Yes! It is expensive and not because of the recession but because of the rumour mill that this idiotic term has set rolling. Everywhere I go there are heads rolling under the pretext of recession.
If you boss does not like you or has an ambiguity towards you…well then beware for your head might be next and the pretext would be – ECONOMIC SLOWDOWN.

hmmm…did churmuri once have an article about this politician(deshpande) i think, who declared around 145 crores of assets when 4 yrs earlier he had declared 9 crores of assets? Its like they are competing…hmmm..
Ppl i know always keep telling me that i should develop a more positive attitude, so looking on a “bright side” of this, our politicians are really securing INDIA’s economy man. I mean whenever there will is a real major recession, we can claim emergency and raid all their accounts and assets and voila, our economy will be resurrected/somewhat repaired in a matter of days.
