Political bonhomie is always behind the wickets

In Season 15 of the Indian Political League, the JDS candidate for the Mysore Lok Sabha constituency, B.A. Jeevijaya, takes guard, as two wicket-keepers—Tanveer Sait of the Congress (left) and S.A. Ramadas of the BJP—prepare to snaffle up anything that might come their way.

The photo-op was at a cricket match organised by the Mysore district journalists’ association. Sait’s posture may be no great shakes, but looking at Ramadas’ hands and feet, it can be safely said that “an Indian game accidentally discovered by the English” is not his preferred sport.
