There is something words can’t capture in any language about the stomach-churning grief of a parent losing a progeny. Ten years ago, former railway minister C.K. Jaffer Sharief had the misfortune of seeing his second son Khader Nawaz Sharief pass away.
This morning, it was his only surviving son, Abdul Kareem, after a prolonged illness.
Here, the Congress candidate from the Bangalore North constituency gives the general secretary in charge of Karnataka, Ghulam Nabi Azad, a full-blooded hug, the closed eyes, the furrows on the forehead, saying more than any number of words, in any language, ever will.
