A day after his son H.D. Kumaraswamy sheepishly covered his face while entering Sonia Gandhi‘s 10, Janpath residence, JDS supremo H.D. Deve Gowda takes it upon himself to tell the world the third front is safe in his hands.

I wonder why anyone is interested in what these father-son due have to say, because irrespective of what they say – they’ll do what is convenient and profitable in a future circumstance, without any regard to words, alliances, ethics or any other such high moral values.
They have done it before and they’ll do it again. Listening to what they have to say is just a space/time fillers in TV!! I mean, who the heck is HDK is trying to fool with “I was just wiping the sweat” while he was sitting in a posh AC car when sun had already set?

Whatever we think of Deve Gowda’s ethics, no one can deny that he is the consummate politician who can always play both sides against the middle and eventually get what he wants. We can take comfort in the thought that Kumaraswamy does not have the father’s foresight and once Deve Gowda vanishes–we are all mortal–the son will settle for “chillare” politics. That comfort, however, will be replaced by disgust for his goondagiri.

Which is exactly why we need to vote for him! There is no way in hell that BJP can play Cong or vice-versa. An unfriendly govt at the center for another five-ten years can prove catastrophic for Karnataka. There is strategically zero dividend in Kannadigas voting for either BJP or Congress. Regardless of who comes to power we’ll have the likes of Nitish Kumars and YSR Reddys and Tirukas controlling them and in effect, us.

JD(s) is still Thande-Makkala party! Chaluva is a side-show. Sure Laloo was an even greater politician and he decided to redeem hismelf by doing a fairly good job as Railways minister. Instead your hero Dirty did sweet FA for Karnataka. The ass**** was busy feathering his nest all the time while mouthing inanities on secularism. I don’t think we need a regional party like DMK in Karnataka! Those days are over; Look at the sorry plight of highly corrupt PMK. Where are they now? As long as a few lakhs of ’tillers’ from Old-Mysore area vote for Dirty, JD (s) will be in business. Eventually even that will stop.
I am happy to see Kongas losing it badly in TN. Now UPA can really focus on development.
