It doesn’t take a genius or a psephologist to figure that the so called ‘secular’ parties (Which ironically is a euphemism for parties which count on Muslim vote), will do their utmost to prevent BJP from forming a govt.
The irony of it is, the very same parties will go with BJP if they don’t find a way to make a govt. with congress. The thought then will be “To hell with Secularism”!!! They’ll find an virtue in wanting to have a ‘stable govt’.
So, when Left says that it’ll support a UPA to keep NDA out, what it means is that UPA has got a head start in this race, so all ‘secular’ parties shouldn’t go to NDA yet.

There has been a major goof-up by Maruti Suzuki in its online campaign for Ritz. They have spelled “Compliant” as “Complaint.”
I have written a short post on my blog with a screenshot from the Maruti Website.

I wonder why a degree, something like an MBA/MSc in psepholoy (i don’t know if I got the spelling right) has not become popular. I feel these pollsters find it a good business.
Moreso when the EC of India has to conduct so many polls every now and then, so many parties and the most of all, the election schedule being carefully planned for the media to take full advantage of, and to top it, the counting being on a Saturday to help increase the viewership for the results and the all new alliances which will be worked out on a Sunday.
CNN-IBN is already calling it a Super Saturday and one can easily see how comfortable it is with the schedule which managed to export the IPL out of the country. On NDTV (which calls itself the place for elections), Prannoy Roy (or Should I say Dr. Prannoy Roy) was also commenting on the ECs ban on the publication of exit polls on TV saying that it led to rumours being spread, exit polls being leaked, bookies making predictions and all that. It is clearly becoming in a big industry.

@harkol,
As Cho commented, “If BJP gets 170 seats, everyone will start discovering its secularism” :)

The easiest way to do that would be declare 4 districts in Hasan-mandya belt a separate country!! :-)

When the results are out tomorrow, I suggest that Churumuri publish an article how all these psephologists, astrologers and politicians did with respect to their predictions. It would be an interesting article.

I think they were right about Karnataka.
Yeddy surely rules Karnataka. I suggest he be given an important post at centre after LK Advani’s retirement.
