What’s wrong with helping an old man sit down. Perhaps he has arithritis. My old mother also need help getting up and sitting down because of arthritis. Where’s the humor in this? Seems like you just don’t like the fellow.
@larissa
As far as I can see, the governor is laughing, Kasturirangan is laughing, B.K. Chandrashekar is laughing. Guess who is the only one not laughing? You. Seems like you just don’t like people laughing.
Lighten up, the Hindutva herd has only lost an election, it’s not the end of the world.
Where is the joke in this? An old man is being helped to sit down and people are laughing. Perhaps I just do not get this kind of humor–What’s funny about an old man getting help with balance? The title is in fact not funny and neither is the picture. It has nothing to do with HInduism or BJP.
Lighten up, the Hindutva herd has only lost an election, it’s not the end of the world.
Now, I am laughing! :D
Assumption#0: larissa is a Hindutva flag-bearer.
Assumption#1: The hon’ble guv is a leader of the Hindutva herd.
Assumption#2: Churumuri is a graveyard of Hindutva hate content.
This gentleman was best left in his favourite hangout(IHC or whatever), political parties have to stop consoling their discarded leaders with governor posts.
Oops Prashant,
I believe you will now be accused of being a ‘pseudo-secular’ and given a self-righteous lecture.
@ Prashant Krishnamurthy..
lighten up…and get your brain checked. What is the relation between what larissa is saying and Hindutva ..and elections?
Is the cult that chops heads and forces women to wear a grill more acceptable to you than a “Hindutva” that helps an old man get up on his feet? Is helping the aged an anathema to the f@#Ked up concept called Secularism?
article with bad taste.seem to suggest the uslesness of old age people especially governor.
We are not staying in world where we dump old aged ones irresective of their use to others.
@PK, in your comments you come across as dumb, insensitive jackass, I really hope you are not one.
What’s larissa’s comment got to with BJP losing elections? Dayamaadi nimma akhamda gnanavannu hamchi.

This shld be an eye opener to have a age limit for all politcians and all government posts… Rajbhavan should not become a vruddhashrama for retired politicians…
QED
Governers are usually old politicians who have finished their time in active politics. Now it is time for them to relax and enjoy in this grand but useless post. SMK is probably an exception to this as he has returned back from the post of no return as Foreign Minister.
PK in a way is not totally out of place in brining in Hindutva vis a vis NIAS.
Coming to think of NIAS. I was associated with NIAS for a couple of years and I realized that it is another useless organization of old retired scientists who use this organization to pass time in their Vanaprasthashrama. It is an old boys club of IISC. There are fanciful and highly meaningless papers published from NIAS which will never ever have any practical value. NIAS is also a Hindutva hot bed where many of these ‘religious’ scientists are everlastlingly discussing Quantum Theory, Chaos theory, godel, wittgenstien, penrose and draw a relationship with advaitha vedanta and conciousness. NIAS has many a times used the pretext of scientific seminars to push in the Hindutva agenda where the chief guests have been no less than the likes of Murli Manohar Joshi and popular new age swamis. Hindu thinkers like Rajeev Malhotra and Balagangadhara have been part of many NIAS seminars. Only time we used to get a repreive from the vedanta chatter was when late Raja Ramanna used to play classical piano.
We can even safely say that what JNU is to the leftists, IISC and NIAS is for the Hindutva Brigade.

quod erat demonstrandum, which literally means “which was to be demonstrated?
He is one of the most corrupt Governors in India. His terms expires in August. He is now camping in Delhi lobbying for an extension.
Corrupt while governing Karnataka or before or always?
What’s his grandson’s name BTW?
Coffee Addict, Thakur’s grandfather ran a firm of chartered accountants in Karachi or Lahore called “Thakur, Aiyar & Co”. The Aiyar was Mani Shanker Aiyar’s grandfather. The legend goes that the firm was in the 97% income-tax slab, meaning out of every 100 rupees, they paid 97 rupees in taxes. Meaning: he has seen money before.
Someone in Dili has seen this photo, he is shunted out.
QED :)
Metaempiricus Hindutva might not be appealing but fake liberalism a la Congress is even worse in that I wonder if the liberals really understand what liberalism really entails. It a kind of fashion for most folks…So what if a bunch of retired folk blab about Wittgenstein, Godel and what not…seems harmless to me…Focusing on them is just a way of diverting from what really harms the country…bad governance and lawlessless couched in a form of system that calls itself “democratic”.
