This has always has been happening. I remember , during the anti-Tamil issue over Cauvery waters all civil work, sanitation, domestic help in Bangalore came to a stand still! We owe a lot to the outside laborers for the development of Bangalore.

Nice shot!
I get the unacknowledged part, be it laborers from local land or outside. Also understand that once built this Metro rail will be used by locals and ‘outsiders’.

Nice Photo!
Whats the big deal if they r outsiders… they are doing it for their ‘hottepaadu’/daily bread.. not because of the love they have for bangalore or bangaloreans!!

Prasad – No one owes nobody anything. There is a shortage of laborers in bengaluru and shortage of labor in orissa, bihar, TN. And the twain have met. I worry more about why more recruitment does not happen from bijaapura and gulbarga for these projects rather than from orissa and bihar and tn – the bengaluru and rest of karnataka twain should also meet.
