The “high moral ground” was the only figleaf the Left parties were left with in the nudist camp that is Indian politics after their disastrous showing in the 2009 general elections.
On Sunday, 12 July 2009, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) lost even that, as it chose to drop V.S. Achutanandan from the politburo on charges of “indiscipline” and “violating” the organistional structure, while retaining Pinarayi Vijayan, the party’s Kerala secretary, facing a CBI investigation for corruption.

It’d have been more appropriate to show that the bottom facing part of moustache does not really exist.
A committed ideologue gets slammed for staying consistent and honest to his ideals(before kicking him out, shouldn’t they have proved conclusively that he’s wrong!?) but a person who does not mind hobnobbing with business lobbies, whose integrity is under suspicion, gets honourably untouched.
This is the ugly face of communism, no should dare speak to the autocratic overlord!
BTW, why was Pinrayi spared? Does he bring lots of contributions to the “party”?

Hey, didn’t you all know, communism is evolving and catching up with capitalism. Anyone who shows disagreement to that will be shown the door.
