Doorada betta nunnige (the distant hill looks smooth), is an old Kannada saying. From up above, Raichur presents a lovely sight. But try telling that to those down below, who have lost their lands, their homes, their livelihoods; who have to wade through neck deep water after the recent floods. This is how it looked on Saturday when the high and mighty took to the skies for an “aerial survey”.
