Why BJP is worse than Congress
1. For the first time ever, dynasty politics took a new meaning in karanataka. Three brothers, a sister and another very close family friend (almost like another brother) are in serious positions of power. (Reddy bros and sister)
2. For the first time in the history of India, several MLAs resigned two weeks after being voted in, making a mockery of kannadigas and democracy. (Operation Lotus.)
3.For the first time ever, a CM was forced to induct a new cabinet minister (jagadish shettar) at the insistence of yet another minister.
4. For the first time ever, a CM was forced to drop a cabinet minster (Shoba Karandlaje) because another cabinet minister demanded so.
5. For the first time ever, a man accused in a scandal, a man who openly rebelled against BJP, was rewarded with a cabinet post.
Points 3 and 4 seriously erode the CMs authority. Question is, who is the real power centre?
6. for the first time ever, an extra constitutional, NON elected body, (RSS)decides on who will be the national president of BJP
7. for the first time ever, BJP finds top CMs of all states revolting. Babulal Marandi, Shankar Singh Vaghela, Suresh Mehta, Keshubai Patel, Uma Bharati, Kalyan Singh, Madan Lal Khurana – and now Vasundhara Raje Scindia. Congress HAS NEVER had SO MANY CMS revolting against high command in the last ten years.

Indira Dies, Rajeev is appointed as PM. Rajeev dies, his widow takes over the reins of the party. Now son is being begged by everyone, including the PM, to be a part of the cabinet.
Dynastic politics, eh?
For two weeks, the people who are voted back to power could not manage to form a government. Why? Power sharing, ministry sharing etc was still not being worked out by the high command.
Mockery of people’s mandate in Maharashtra, eh?
Five times CM of a state, being openly challenged by a youngster to prove paternity test. The CM refuses. The party rewards him with the Governorship of an important state. While being a Governor, he & the MPs of the ruling party, convert Raj Bhavan into a prostitution house. Governor resigns.
Moral highground, eh?
There is a demand for the bifurcation of the state. The concerned players approach, not the PM, the chief of this country, but the head of a party. The home minister does a flipflop in a matter of a fortnight. Through out the period, the PM remains SILENT.
Erosion of power, eh?

It does not matter. People have elected Guruji and people have also elected Geeta Koda, Enos Ekka and Harinarayan Rai, protagonists of 4000 crore scam.
Nobody can ignore Guruji’s contribution in economic liberalization, NREGA and RTI act. Without Guruji’s legislative strength and rock solid support(at policy & planning level) these things would not have happened.
We need more Gurujis……

Today’s BJP is the erstwhile Congress and today’s Congress is erstwhile BJP. It’s as if a great role reversal has taken place.
Till BJP tasted some major electoral successes, it was decidedly a principled and disciplined party to a large extent. However once they tasted power and lost it (both at center as well as in some states), the party has jettisoned it’s principles and there is a scramble for power which resembles Congress of the 1970-2000 era.
While BJP has travelled this way, Congress seems to have become a more mellowed party when it comes to power politics with a display of patience. I am not sure if it’s a real change of heart or mere change in tactics. Either way it has decidedly put in a better show of decency in this decade. This is how BJP used to be in the 1980-90’s (leaving out the communal agenda).
Power corrupts and BJP is a good example of that.

I have also stated a few facts, er, NAKED OPEN FACTS. Try and rebutt those if you still have your wits after justifying your party boss leaving out the name of one of the best PMs we have seen in her statement reading at the Congress celebration….
And as regards the misdemenaors of BJP you were to point out, the wait seems to be s t r e t c h i n g….
