A somewhat tenuous peace has been achieved in the ranks of the Bharatiya Janata Party after the “nasty jolt” it received in the May 2009 general elections. But a detente eludes journalists aligned with the BJP, who are still losing sweat over Babri masjid, Narendra Modi and garlands of gajar, tamatar and baingan adorning the new BJP chief, Nitin Gadkari.
