On the day his own MLAs and ministers pulled the carpet from under his feet, prompting the governor to call for a trust vote by October 12, chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa leaves the Vidhana Soudha after a cabinet meeting in Bangalore on Wednesday.

The illusion of control didn’t even last for few days … Couldn’t he just use the state “intelligence” to gather dirt and use it in times like these or is he too dumb to do even that?

“Be good to those whom you meet on your way up……because, you meet them on your way down………..” is a statement that Yeddi must now on mull and mull over again. His haughtiness, arrogance and a suicidal determination to keep company with the wrong men (and women) has brought him the just dessert.
I would quote another statement that defines what is knowledge and what is wisdom, for his awakening (if at all that were possible). Knowing that tomato is a fruit is knowledge……not using it in the fruit salad is wisdom. The 7 member cabinet of the late Kamaraj Nadar was the most delicious of all fruit salads that Tamil Nadu has had so far……because, Kamaraj kept the tomatos out of it!
The real mission of BJP has again been revealed for all to observe………it is to convince people that Congress is a party better suited to rule this country. I admire the tenacity and single minded determination, even devotion, with which BJP all over India, and in Karnataka in particular, has pursued this objective. Long live the BJP!
With opponents like BJP working so hard for the Congress to return to power in Karnataka also, that party needs no enemies .from within or without,

BSY will be able to survive somehow. But at what cost, people have to see. Secondly, there is no viable alternative at present. In Congress, there is no mass leader. Individual leaders like Siddaramaiah, Deshpande and DKS are not acceptable to all, but only some. SMK unlikely to return. Dharam Singh and Kharge have retired. Who else is there? In all these melee, if JD comes, end of Karnataka.

KariHaida,
Bang on point. Apparently he did that – use the ‘state intelligence’ to get all the dirty dope on K’taka politicians. It came in as a big tome running into 1500 pages or so. Out of which our man and his cronies – Ramachandre G, Subrahmanya N and Murugesh N hogged the first 1000 or so pages.
So our man lost patience and couldn’t proceed to the remaining pages. So looks like he is not dumb but lazy. Moreover it was time for him to hop on a helicopter and go visiting some temple in TN, Kerala or AP – not sure but surely not one in K’taka. Hope he comes back and applies his mind to remaining 500 pages and also with the grace of appeased God/s erase the bad chunk – ie the first 1K pages.

Such an uncertainty of the govt does not augur well for the stage’s progress. Better go for mid-term election for a decisive judgement of the people. People have been watching all these drama for quite some time and it is hoped that they will vote judiciously, justly and decisively.
