What should a film on Yediyurappa be called?

In the kind of news that reveals all there is to say about Karnataka politics and Kannada cinema—and indeed about the state of Karnataka itself—news trickles out that the State’s excise minister M.P. Renukacharya is planning a biopic on the life and times of his political guru, the chief minister, B.S. Yediyurappa.

The good news is that the man who has agreed to wield the megaphone is S.V. Rajendra Singh “Babu”, the very talented Mysore-born maker of such classics as Bandhana. And more good news: Babu says “nothing has been finalised so far, and casting will be done as per requirements, after a detailed study.”

Yes, nothing has been finalised yet, and casting will be done as per requirements.

Here’s what you can do to help Babu: Given the wealth of material that is at Babu’s disposal for this biopic—sex scandals, suicides, mining scandals, bottomless corruption, relentless dissidence, etc—what should the title of the film be? And who should play the lead characters?

Think big: do not limit yourself to titles in Kannada or to Kannada actors alone.
