The multi-lingual Kannada actress Bhavana joins a camp organised by the Cubbon park walkers’ association to create awareness on making Bangalore’s iconic garden plastic-free, on Monday.
Hopefully, the big white bag on the right isn’t plastic.

This is a routine ritual of ivory tower residents around Cubbon Park. They make sure that all the newspapers send their photographers when they ‘bend and pick’.
Pastic is a consequence of culture. In India, people feel it’s below their dignity to carry proper bags. Walk into any supermakert and you see most of the fruits and vegetable pre-packet in plastic wrappers.
The problem doesn’t vaish because you discard them in a bin.

@M,
When it comes to plastic, science has failed humanity. Science hasn’t found a good answer for plastic disposal. Its unfair to blame humanity for plastic mess.
Coming to the cubbon-park camp, I hope they pick up *any* litter too, instead of just plastic litter.

The uglies surrounding Bhavana spoiling the pic. BTW what to do with plastic we pick up? Is there a way to ensure it is recycled and not dumped on the outskirts of Bangalore?

This is such a pathetic attempt at PR. What is she trying to do – attempt to enter bollywood.
Lame attempt, and lame media at work.
