These lamps look like Chinese Lamps. One needs to grow pig tails and carry these lamps with a pole resting on our shoulder to complete the picture. God they (peddlers and buyers) know not what they are doing, in the name of creativity! Forgive them.

babuds is correct. Chinese invasion is in progress in a subtle but extensive manner. The toys available in India are all chinese made. I read somewhere that even the Ganesha idols are coming from China. Time for the people to wake up.

Yet another step towards brilliant light has been taken,
pledged against diminishing darkness.
A promise to ourselves, year after year.
Let illumination flood every heart,
allowing hope every chance
of making it’s presence felt.
This deepavali, with it’s message
carried across the mountains and the seas,
let it brighten your path.
Have a radiant Deepavali!!
