On the day of her return to the BJP ministry in Karnataka, 10 months after the Reddy brothers had earned her scalp, Yeshwanthpur MLA Shobha Karandlaje takes the blessings of mentor and chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa after being sworn in as minister, at the Raj Bhavan in Bangalore on Wednesday.

Yella vokay, sototu-bootu, salwar-kameez yaake?
At least Shoba is taking blessings of a Senior person. Wish you had publish how senior Congress leaders behave infront of Rahul, Sonia-absolutely spineless.

Shobha Karandlaje has always been decorous in her conduct and selfless in her social service. She seems to be as sincere, smart and disciplined as any politician is.
I’d like to congratulate the chief minister for honoring Ms. Karandlaje with a cabinet position, and for placing her in charge of the crucial portfolio of energy.

Big deal?!
I have come to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter which party rules or who the ministers are. Manmohan Singh and Sheila Dixit are supposed to be persons of such integrity, but what is the use? CWG mess is right under his nose.
BJP is supposed to be a party with a difference. The Reddy brothers and the mining mafia is what is sustaining them!

Now let him do the right thing and get rid of the Reddy brothers…
Then we can praise him for getting back his keep into power.

We need Ministers like Shobha in all the Government Ministries – she is indeed smart, sincere and hard-working.
I wish her all the best in her second stint.

Well, well, well…. Churumuri is back to its happy ways of projecting BJP in a bad light. While you are gloating over this, care to look at the mess called CWG? And the corruption involved in that, which has reached right up to the doors of Madam Gandhy??

Shobha is far far and far better than Renukacharya or any other worst corrupt politicians in Yeddi’s cabinet.
Welcome back shobha :)

Governor H R Bhardwaj once told me that Shobha was the best minister in the entire Government and her unceremonius exit was a huge loss to the state.
It was seconded by both Siddaramaiah and H Vishwanath (both from Mysore) who were also there.

It’s a wrong that has been righted and about time too. Dropping her from cabinet was a terrible thing – not only for the administration of the state but also to the people of the state who had to watch the million tears being launched by prolific eyes of Yeddy.
She deserves the place in cabinet in spite of the fact that she is the first time MLA. It’s the attitude that should count and not merely the years that you have warmed the benches of Legislative assembly.
My grouse is about C T Ravi not being in the team. It’s a double whammy when you see rogues like BaccheGowda, Renukacharya et al ensconced nicely in the gaddi. I don’t subscribe to many of the strident views expressed by Mr. Ravi. But he comes across as a honest and straightforward person. And if his record in building the party is any indication then he may well have proved an able administrator too.
