E.R. RAMACHANDRAN writes: Ajji had just watched election coverage on TV. It was clear she was restless. She had just watched a no-holds-barred, gloves-off, bloody slugfest.
“Yen Ajji, yochne madtha idhiya? Aren’t you taking your afternoon nap?”
“Yenu niddeno! Tell me, why poltisons are trying to make their children MPs? What is their kwalifishun?”
“Poltisons alla Ajji! It is politicians. Qualification not kwalifishun!”
“OK, politician-o and qualification-o. But tell me why.”
“Just like doctor’s son becomes a daaktru and an engineer’s son engineeru, politicians feel their sons should also become polticiansu.”
“Is the country avarappana jaagiri to pass on to sons and daughters? Polticiangu qualification illa, his son also is not qualified in anything. In that sense both have no qualification and that makes them eligible to rule the country!”
“Ajji!”
“Adirli, tell me when do these people retire like engineers and doctors. Is it 58 or 60?”
“There is no retirement age for politicians, Ajji. They can rule till they die or reach 100 years whichever comes first!”
“Alvo Ramu! With weak knees, failing eyesight, fading hearing and nothing much in between, how do they attend office or Parliament?”
“Simple-u Ajji. Majority of them don’t attend regularly office, er, Parliament.”
“What about their TA-DA?”
“They get huge amount plus bonuses.”
“Like Tata Sky?”
“Correct-u Ajji! But, sky is not the limit for them for their TA-DA!”
“I don’t know what is happening! No qualification, no retirement, TA-DA Sky and you were saying the other day many have cases pending against them in courts?”
“You’ve summed it perfectly Ajji. Now you tell me who will win this time Ajji?”
“It doesn’t matter at all who wins. It will be the same. Devre kapaadbeku namma Deshana.”
Saar, if you give performances in stand up comedians style* in PiTeel Chowdaiah Hall/Jaganmohana Aramané/Kalamandira, you can earn at least one day’s worth of politisons’ TA-DA!
* Master HiraNNaiah’s style would also do.

tata sky is a horrible company. i called them and booked my dish at around 12.30 pm in the afternoon, the day b4 yesterday, and was promised that it would be installed by 4.30pm latest on the same day. the payment was made over the phone by credit card. the urgency was that there was tiling work goin on in my house, and the cable had to be concealed. but it was not installed. i called up at 7pm same day, and i was promised that they would come and install it at 8pm, but still nothing. i called up at 1am b4 goin to bed and i was promised that the engineer would call by 9am and install it by 10am, still nothing.
i called again, and i was promised by 1.30pm. i even got an sms saying that, but was not done. i did receive the set top box by 1pm, but the engineer did not show up. i spoke to a couple of people from tata sky, even to a senior, and i was assured that they would contact the engineer’s dept, and they would attend immediately, but still no luck. now its 5 am in the morning, and i spoke to an executive, and she told me that it was scheduled for yesterday 4 pm, and could not give me a reason why it was not done, but promised it will be done today morning on a priority basis. its a waste of time….
i have to wait till it is done. calling is of no use. i wished i could sue them like in the U.S.
i heard that if u book it with a dealer and don’t pay them 1st, it is done much faster. i wasted 3days, making my worker wait, and their wages was a waste of money…
PLS BEWARE OF TATA SKY… Mumbai..
